ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall in the country further surged to 3,100 MW as the total generation on Monday was recorded as 10,400 MW against the demand of 13,500 MW at 0930 hours.
According to daily data released by National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDC), the hydel generation stood at 2,900 MW, Thermal 1,440 MW, Independent Power Producers (IPPs) 6,060 MW and 4 MW wind.
The hydel generation has reduced due to less water discharge from both water reservoirs Tarbela and Mangla dams and stood at 2900 MW only.
